The LED strip is deep inside the fixture, which has a curved body to hold the lens. As a result, the illumination is focused directly downwards under the fixture, and casts very little to the sides compared to the twin T8 florescent it replaced. Will take two of these linked in series to produce the same light coverage.It's also very narrow fixture, and not enough to cover the junction box in the ceiling so it looks unsightly. Not a big deal in a garage, but not a good choice for a finished room.Update: as others have posted, the diffuser is flimsy and has fallen out several times.

Going strong for a couple weeks. I replaced a standard florescent, droning, on its last leg, 4- tube fixture with this LED. This light is bit warmer but much more of it. It was very easy to install, just use existing wires and the wire colors even matched. Now, there is no drone or humming, no flickering, and it comes on every time; very pleased.

Update 04/01/21: All lights are still working great! Bought 5 more and installed in my workshop. A++Installed 9 of these in my 2 car garage to replace 4 dual T8 bulb strip lights. The overall brightness is significantly better, with less shadow casting. Installation was pretty straightforward. I hard wired 2 of the lights and then daisy chained the rest off of those 2 with the supplied 3 prong cables. I am planning on using the last 3 lights in my workshop, so it's safe to say I'm thoroughly satisfied with these lights.

Got this light yesterday and installed it in a small narrow room with the washer, dryer and walk-in shower. This light was used to replace a round dim light that was only in front of the washer and dryer. My son complained when he used the shower that it was dark in there. I said what do you need to see in the shower. I guess I didn't realize how dark it was in there until this light was installed. Very happy with the outcome of this bright light.
